The Annual sports day of senior school was held on 11 February 2017 at the sprawling school ground in a frolicsome atmosphere. The event was marked by a string of spectacular performances presented by the champs of school, who
were brimming with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The grand opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Chairperson, Amarjit Kaur, Directors of the school, Pawandeep Singh and Ramandeep Singh along with school Principal, Ms Kirti Sharma.
The ceremony was auspicated with the recital of school song and Principal extended the warm welcome to the august gathering. The march past by the houses that followed exhibited discipline and ardcore practice of the students. The Sports secretary administered the solemn oath to the house captains and the participants. The Director of the school officially declared the sports meet open and released balloons symbolizing the vibrant hopes of the sporting students that were flying high. The sports torch was carried by the sports secretary and the house captains. The dance performance by Jesus’ Sacred Heartians made the spectators spell bound. The most intriguing aspect, embellishing the event, was the splendid field display involving mass student participation, which splattered on the field, a riot of hues and vibrance. This was followed by the track events including Bungy Jump, Duck Walk, Elephant Walk, Sack Race, Cone Race etc for Grade I to III .The long awaited athletics events were held which included 100 Mts.,200 Mts.,400 Mts.,4X100 Mts. Race .The sporty Jesus’ Sacred Heartians participated enthusiastically in all of field events like Long Jump, Shot Put etc.
The Director of the school, in his address, remarked that such occasion is always momentous for children. He stated that discipline and organization is very important in such events. This entailed the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where members of the management gave away medals and trophies tothe sports event winners.
The event came to an end successfully with the vote of thanks, leaving thrilling memories in the hearts of each and everyone present there.
