INVESTITURE AND FELICITATION CEREMONY (12.05.17)

On the fine day of May 12th, 2017, deserving young talents of the Junior and Senior School were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their School from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence in investiture ceremony held in school auditorium.It was a day imbued with a sense of pride, humility and leadership.

The occasion was graced by the honorable Director, Pawandeep Singh Sehgal. After giving a fragrant floral welcome to the Members of the management, Prinicpal Ms. Kirti Sharma welcomed the august gathering. The event also highlighted the ‘O’ Star and the ‘A’-Star achievers of last session as they were felicitated by the Directors and the Principal of the school.

In accordance with the ceremonial procedure and social parlance, the shortlisted candidates had campaigned for their respective posts. They came up with novel strategies to woo their voters. Promises of better  discipline, better facilities were made as the whole campus oozed with the election fever since last week.

The Council members marched into the arena with utmost poise and confidence. The office bearers took an oath to serve their school with diligence and dedication and bear the responsibility to uphold the rules and regulations of the school. Ms Kirti Sharma , Principal of the school facilitated the oath ceremony for the junior as well as senior council.

The junior council comprises of students from grade V-VI as school secretary (girls) , school secretary (boys) .The other office bearers are sports captain(girls), sports captain (boys), discipline incharge, cultural head, literary head, literary secretary, captain(Gandhi House), Captain Nehru House), Captain (Tagore House), captain (Tilak House). The senior council consists of students of grade XI-XII as school secretary (girls), school secretary (boys), literary head, literary secretary, sports captain, sports vice captain, discipline incharge, cultural head, cultural secretary, captain and vice captain of Gandhi House, Nehru House, Tagore House and Tilak House.

The Principal congratulated the newly elected office bearers of the Students Council (junior). In her address, the Principal expressed her faith in the power of ‘Service before Self’. She commended the efforts of the ex-students who are upholding high the values of their alma mater. She urged the council members to perform their duties to the best of their abilities .The vote of thanks was proposed by the Literary Head who pledged to work with dignity and keep the flag of the school flying high. The programme came to an end with National Anthem.
