LSSC Hindi declamation contest held at JSHS

Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex organized Hindi declamation contest at Jesus’ Sacred Heart School on August 8, 2017,   where students of 31 schools participated in the event. Two students from category A(IX,X) and category B(XI,XII) from each school spoke on the topics like divorce on rise, cricket craze overpowering curiosity of national game, law and order in a slumber, civilized society leads to civilized people etc. The listeners were impressed by the confidence exhibited by the students as they voiced their opinion in strong and powerful words in neck to neck competition where each tried to outshine the other to the best of his / her ability. The talent unearthed was immense and it was a delight to see the students speak with such confidence and conviction.

The winners were judged on the basis of their content, expression, gestures, pronunciation & Confidence. In category A, Bal Bharti Public School bagged winner position, 1st runner up was secured by Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar and 2nd runner up position was given to D.A.V. Public School, B.R.S. Nagar. In category B, Drishti Dr. R.C. Jain Inv. Public School bagged winner position, 1st runner up was secured by B.C.M. Arya Model School and 2nd runner up position was given to Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar.

The Director of the school, S.Pawandeep Singh Sehgal along with Principal, Ms. Kirti Sharma congratulated the students on their achievement. He applauded the oratory skills of students and inspired them to keep on attaining laurels in future as well. He also appreciated the teacher incharges who prepared the students for the competition. Speaking on the occasion, Principal said that such competitions help the students to improve their communication skills and learn the new ways of presenting their thoughts.
