A workshop was organized by the management of Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City, Ludhiana to celebrate decennial of Melange — a cultural extravaganza of play way schools in the school auditorium wherein around thirty Principals and Heads of play way school attended the workshop. The workshop was conducted by a renowned counsellor, a WHO certified life skills trainer, Ms.Geetanjali Kumar. She is also a panelist for the CBSE helpline and has conducted over 800 workshops for teachers, students, principals and parents across India and Asia. She discussed on various behavioural problems in children of pre school kids, giving tips to handle hyperactive children. She laid emphasis on National guidelines for education for children of 2-4 years. In her interactive session, Geetanjali Kumar emphasized on positive discipline and the role of proactive teacher in perceiving and curbing the problem. She also undertook elaborate discussion of importance of sensitizing young ones on good touch and bad touch. Teachers worked in groups as they attempted role- play and enacted scenarios to help identify solutions to routine problems. The workshop was very informative and interactive for the Principals. To honour the Heads and Principals of various schools, the certificate was awarded to them. The workshop acted as an eye opener to all of them. The programme concluded with thanks giving note by worthy Principal of the school, Ms. Kirti Sharma.
