The students of JSHS had a short stint with history as they crafted a mythological theatrical presentation . In the first ever event of its kind, the school explored the ingenious side of the students by organizing inter house theatre competition based on the theme of mythology for classes VIII to X. Daku Angulimaar, Lord Ganesha, Lord Krishna, Sage Valmiki all descended upon the campus of JSHS. It was fascinating to see how the students enacted and related the age old values of victory of good over evil,importanceof family etc to the modern times. The sound and dialogue weaved into the ancient tale brought a different dimension  altogether to the art of mythology story telling via theatre.

In the terrarium-making, the students competed to embellish a glass bowl into a miniature garden with their choicest plants, shrubs and vegetation. The students of classes IV – VIII put to use their creative bend of mind.They used various materials to create the garden of their dreams in a small transparent bowl and came up with unmatched creations. It was intriguing to view such exquisite designs and imaginary conception of ideas from such young minds. While one child brought alive the idea of a backyard vegetable garden, another advocated the message of saving wildlife. Nehru house emerged as the winner in the mythology  theatre contest while Tilak house was adjudged the first runner up. Best Entries were awarded in the terrarium making contest as well.
