Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City, Ludhiana, celebrated its much-awaited Junior Annual Day Function on November 16, 2025, marking 25 glorious years of the institution providing value-based education and nurturing responsible global citizens.  The event captured the anticipation and excitement of students, parents and staff alike, providing a perfect platform for young learners to showcase their talent and confidence.

The event began with a devotional Shabad and Vandana, invoking the blessings of the Almighty. Distinguished dignitaries, Chairperson Amarjit Kaur, School Directors Mr. Ramandeep Singh, Mr. Pawandeep Singh, Simran Kaur, Rajbinder Kaur and Principal Kirti Sharma graced the occasion. The evening formally began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to foster learning and overall holistic development of its students.

Following the lamp lighting ceremony, the School Director, Ramandeep Singh gave a welcome address, welcoming all the parents, staff and students. In his address he focused on the school’s journey of transforming young minds into torchbearers of compassion and courage.

The theme of the function, “Anugoonj: A Symphony of Stories” took the audience onto a magical journey of childhood tales and classic stories. Performances like Harry Potter Chronicles, Rapunzel’s Fairy Fantasy, Tenali Rama’s Witt, Robindhood Saga and many more captured the audience with spells and spirit of friendship. Each enactment was thoughtfully executed with expressions and stagecraft enhancing the storytelling experience. Adding a thrilling element to the evening, students presented a series of athletic displays and stunts, demonstrating skill and agility. Performances like Gatka and Ramp Radiance (Fashion Show) captivated the audience with precision and confidence.

Principal, Kirti Sharma presented a comprehensive Annual Report, reflecting on the school’s achievements throughout the academic year 2024-2025. She underscored the institution’s commitment to fostering excellence and supporting students across all domains.

The event also featured the Prize Distribution Ceremony, which honoured achievers for their academic, sports, co-curricular and overall performances. The awards celebrated the hard work and excellence of the students. The School Director, Pawandeep Singh lauded the performances in his address and stressed on the school’s vision of providing quality education rooted in growth and innovation.

The finale, ‘Eternal Saga,’ beautifully concluded the thematic journey of the annual function, leaving the audience spellbound. The evening concluded on a high spirit with a vibrant Bhangra performance and the singing of the National Anthem, filling the auditorium with a sense of joy and unity.

The Junior Annual Day Celebration 2025 was not only a showcase of the student’s talent and creativity but also a reflection of JSHS’s philosophy of fostering holistic development, curiosity and excellence.
