Jesus` Sacred Heart School celebrated junior sports day
Sports do not build character. They reveal it.
Jesus` Sacred Heart School, organized the Annual Sports Day (junior) on February 15th,2020. Students of grade Nursery to I participated in the spectacular sporting event. The tiny tots demonstrated activity races, the students of Nursery wholeheartedly indulged in thematic games like umbrella race and elephant race. The gathering witnessed another sound of high voltage track and field events like crossing the tunnel and obstacle race.
Ms. Kirti Sharma, the school Principal, expressed her elation and welcomed the Chair Person of the school, Ms. Amarjit Kaur as a chief guest .She took pride in sharing the noteworthy achievements of the students ,especially in the National and State level tournaments and also encouraged the parents to participate actively in their child’s activities in the formative years. The event commenced with the March Past commanded by Sports captain. The Directors of the school, Pawandeep Singh and Ramandeep Singh took the salute .The event was followed by the hoisting of the flag and Director of the school declared the sports meet open. Following the tradition of starting the event by seeking the blessings of almighty , Krishna vandana dance was performed, followed by numerous drills and exercises.
The parents were not far behind as they enthusiastically participated in the races like lift the tyre, paper balance race, lift the partner race and tug of war that were especially organized for them. In the prize distribution ceremony, the chairperson, management and principal ma`am felicitated the students for their excellent performance in sports activities. A splendid dance performance of Modern Giddha won the hearts of the spectators. Director of the school, Pawandeep Singh highlighted that students must spend time outdoors which gives them opportunity to learn from their surroundings and to enrich themselves. It was a day well spent, basking in the warmth of the sun and witnessing the tiny tots run, jump, tumble, roll and hop!
