Grade VII Students of JSHS Explore Social Media’s Digital Tapestry with Yearly Class Presentations
The Students of Grade VII of Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City, Ludhiana, delved into the world of Social Media through their Yearly Class Presentations held recently. The presentations carried the theme, ‘Exploring the Digital Tapestry’. Through the event the students showcased deep understanding of influence of the digital media on today’s world.
One of the highlights of the presentations was a powerful role play titled ‘Reel VS Real’, which illustrated the stark contrast between the curated lives portrayed on social media and the realities experienced by children. Another gripping performance came in the form of a mock courtroom trial, where students re-enacted well-known cases of data breaches and privacy violations, raising awareness about cyber safety.
The event also featured a vibrant Kavi Samelan, where students used poetry to highlight the Do’s and Don’ts of using social media responsibly. The performances also carried a touch of humour as students presented humorous sequels that filled the environment with laughter and cheer. Additionally, the students also explored how media has contributed to the rise of modern day celebrities and influencers.
Through these presentations, the students exhibited exceptional confidence, role play and public speaking skills. The students not only performed well but also understood the psychological and social impacts of media on the young minds.
The event was graced by the Director of the School, Pawandeep Singh and Simran Kaur along with Principal, Kirti Sharma. The dignitaries appreciated the hardwork and performances of the students.
The presentations aimed to instill digital awareness and critical thinking, preparing them to be responsible digital citizens in an increasingly connected world.
