JSHS Hosts Junior Sports Day
The sprawling grounds of Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City Ludhiana came alive with joy, energy and a strong sense of unity on the day of its Annual Junior Sports Day. This special event brought together students from Pre-Nursery to Grade I, along with their parents, to celebrate fitness and fun. It highlighted the school’s deep commitment to well-rounded education. The day blended physical activities with important life lessons like hard work, fair play, teamwork, and building good character in young children. The program began with a warm and respectful floral welcome to the Chairperson of the school, Amarjit Kaur along with Directors of the school Pawandeep Singh, Ramandeep Singh and Simran Kaur.
In her welcome address, Principal Kirti Sharma highlighted the school’s vision of nurturing young minds to grow strong through sports. Squads aced the march past, marching in straight lines with perfect timing. Their steady beat mesmerized the crowd. Cheers and claps filled the air, igniting pride for the school and the kids’ spirit.
Sports activities kicked off next. Highlights included relay races with balls, sack races, brief sprints, and crawling contests. Each child ran, jumped, and tried their best, showing great speed, critical thinking, and real determination. Parents also got a chance to participate in pleasant fun games. The track became a battleground as the participants lined up, their muscles tense with anticipation. The competitors pushed their limits, vying for the top spot while earning applause and appreciation from the audience. During prize distribution, winners stepped forward to claim their gleaming medals. Cheers filled the air, celebrating not just top scores but also good spirit and support for friends. The day ended with closing words from Director Pawandeep Singh. He praised sports as a way to make true friends, build tough hearts for chasing dreams, and learn teamwork and strength.
