JSHS Students of Grade III Spark Curiosity with "Scientific Skills" Presentation

Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1 South City, Ludhiana,  staged an enthusiastic and inspiring classroom presentation titled “Scientific Skills” for its Grade III students. The activity was created to nurture curiosity and encourage young learners to think and work like scientists through hands-on experiments and interactive tasks.

Under the careful guidance of their teachers, children explored core scientific thinking skills — organising, classifying, problem-solving, reasoning and logical thinking — while constructing simple conceptual frameworks to make sense of the experiments they performed. The event showcased a variety of hands-on STEM and science activities, including Bubbles Snake, Magnetic Coin Tower, Visible Light Rays, Water Fountain, Magic Glove, and DIY Hover Craft as interactive student exhibits. The sessions were deliberately practical and child-friendly so that each pupil could take part, observe outcomes, and draw conclusions on their own.

Students conducted their demonstrations with focus and enthusiasm, showing not only understanding of the concepts but also the communication skills to share their findings. The presentation was highly appreciated by the parents, who were dumbstruck to see their wards confidently performing scientific experiments at such a tender age. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Directors of the school, Pawandeep Singh, Simran Kaur and the Principal Kirti Sharma whose encouragement added great motivation to the young innovators.

This initiative reflects the school’s belief that quality education should inspire active learning and foster creative thinking from an early age. The success of the programme is the result of strong collaboration between students, teachers and parents, and it has made science both enjoyable and meaningful for the children.
