JSHS Students share insights on Sustainable Development and Agriculture in Class Presentations

The students of Grade VI and VIII of Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City, Ludhiana, shared profound insights on “Types of Agriculture” and “Sustainable Development Goals” in their annual Class Presentations.

Grade VI students exhibited remarkable intellect and confidence while speaking on topics such as Types of Agriculture, Means of Irrigation, Types of Soil and Various Agricultural Tools. The young presenters also emphasized innovative techniques and sustainable practices that could transform traditional agriculture into more efficient and eco-friendly systems.

Meanwhile, Grade VIII students raised awareness about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and stressed on the need to follow them. Through well-crafted working models on Rainwater Harvesting, Automatic Irrigation Systems, Road Power Generation and Sponge Parks, the students advocated for the concept of ‘Smart Cities’ which serves as a vision for urban development integrating sustainability with technology. They not only highlighted the relevance of these innovations but also proposed actionable steps for their implementation in daily life.

The aim of these presentations was not only to build the confidence and communication skills of students but also to instill a deeper understanding of the environment and its integral role in maintaining ecological balance. Both Agriculture and the Sustainable Development Goals are important themes that are crucial for ensuring a resilient and inclusive future.

The event was graced by the Director of the School, Pawandeep Singh and Simran Kaur along with Principal, Kirti Sharma. The dignitaries appreciated the students’ efforts, lauding their awareness, creativity and commitment to building a better tomorrow.

These class presentations served as an opportunity to foster critical thinking, environmental consciousness and a sense of responsibility among students towards building a sustainable future.
