Upper Primary & Middle School
During the Upper Primary (Grade IV-V) and Middle school (Grade VI-VIII), focus shifts on deepening and extending the student’s intellectual, aesthetic, physical and cultural growth. Each child is encouraged to believe in their ability to succeed. Emphasis is put on making the students active learners, they are taught to connect real-life solutions to the knowledge gained by books and verify the facts through exploration.
Teaching methodology follows an:
- “Enquiry Based + Project Based” approach.
- In order to emphasize this regular ‘Project Days’, ‘Club Days’ and activities are conducted which is carried on in synchronization with NCERT Books.
- Further it is connected with specially designed Workbooks by the school teachers, which helps the students develop critical thinking skills along with conceptual understanding.
The curriculum in Middle school aims at building a strong hold on all basic subjects while putting special focus on the practical aspect. In these years of Development, the school also tries to instill the children with certain skills like communication, public speaking, confidence via compulsory participation in class presentations, morning assemblies etc.
Regular ‘Competition Days’ are also conducted so that students can explore both creativity and confidence in one go. With a plethora of planned activities and projects, the school ensures that students of all grades not only become academic geniuses but also turn out to be good leaders, decision makers, orators and above all a good human.
