Lower Primary School

At Lower Primary School (Grade I-III), each child’s progress is closely monitored and regularly communicated to parents, fostering a strong partnership with the school. Primary section adopts an innovative approach to learning through “XSEED SYSTEM” which includes ‘Activity-Based Teaching’, which enables the children to focus on engaging students through interactive, hands-on activities that allows them to learn by doing. Through carefully planned activities, children are encouraged to think independently and approach the problems creatively.  Development-based approach is also adopted and students learn about essential concepts of each subject.

  • The Primary School, stresses on building foundations in subjects like Mathematics, Environmental Science and English through an imaginatively designed hands-on programme.
  • French is also introduced as a main subject from II Grade for children in order to enhance their area of Languages. 
  • Special focus is given on fostering an optimistic attitude and healthy habits that can contribute towards building a positive self-esteem.

Through regular class activities, the curriculum emphasizes not only conceptual understanding but also uses engaging teaching methodologies, so that students continue to enhance their communication skills through consistent interaction with teachers. Special emphasis is also given to sports as an essential part of a child’s overall development.

From Grade I onwards, sports like Swimming, Skating and Martial Arts are made compulsory, along with the introduction to basic skills of other games, fostering physical fitness, discipline and team spirit from an early age. From Grade III onwards, students are given the choice to specialize in different sports such as Basketball, Football, Cricket, Gymnastics, Athletics and more, allowing them to discover and develop their individual interests and talents in sports. A special programme is also implemented to enhance the linguistic ability of students while triggering intuitive learning process.

Primary emphasis is given on reading, creative writing, teamwork and problem-solving skills through a well-planned learning process that makes teaching and learning both personalized and meaningful. Regular class presentations are held and participation in morning assemblies and group activities are encouraged in order to provide students with valuable opportunities to express themselves confidently and build public speaking skills.
